Our Employment Law team is headed by our senior partner Roisin McCorry.
Roisin primarily acts for employers and she has extensive experience in acting for employers in the preparation of employment contracts and staff handbooks, advising employers in relation to their statutory obligations towards their employees and in dealing with dispute resolution.
Employers should have clear and robust procedures in place to deal with issues that may arise in respect of any employees and employers have specific duties in relation to disputes that may arise in relation to complaints of discrimination.
Roisin is able to advise Employers in relations to the general steps they should be taking and the specific steps that may be required in individual cases.
Ben Willans primarily acts for employees and workers. Ben has extensive experience in advising and acting for employees in relation to unfair dismissal claims, redundancy claims and discrimination claims (particularly disability discrimination claims).
Ben regularly acts for employees in relation to the settlement of claims under a “settlement agreement” (formerly known as “compromise agreements”) and he is able to take initial instructions by email or by telephone where time is limited.
